Actor Josh Hartnett might be playing the Night Stalker of Los Angeles – if true crime writer Philip Carlo has anything to say about it, that is.
His book, “The Night Stalker: The Life and Crimes of Richard Ramirez,” has just been optioned by Soundgarden lead singer Chris Cornell and his producing partner (and brother-in-law) Nick Karaylannis.
Mickey Rourke, who attended Carlo’s book party last week at the Greenwich Hotel, will… Continue

So if you’re in the Minneapolis area (or even if you’re not), pick up some tickets to the premiere (NOT reserved for just industry and press – this is a public screening!) and stop by the gorgeous State Theater on Thursday night for the full red carpet treatment (cast and crew present – including Josh Hartnett). It should be a blast. We’ll see you there!

There is a chance that "Sin City 2" will kick off its production in 2010. The possibility has been thrown in by the star of "Sin City", Clive Owen, himself when MTV caught up with him at this year's Toronto International Film Festival.
Asked whether a sequel is indeed in the horizon, the 44-year-old quickly responded, "I'm hearing it might be next year," before adding, "I heard that from a very good source...recently." Pressed further from… Continue

Though it has been overshadowed by the homecoming hoopla surrounding the Coen brothers' "A Serious Man," the indie comedy "Nobody," also opens here this Friday. Hometown boosters will be pleased to know that the plucky underdog film has plenty of Minnesota connections, too.
It's co-written and directed by Minneapolis filmmaker Rob Perez (screenwriter of the Josh Hartnett celibacy comedy "40 Days and 40 Nights.")
Twin Cities actor Sam Rosen… Continue

I recently watched Josh's 30 day of Night film. I enjoyed the film very much for it was a bit different for Josh. I think he could stretch himself a bit more as an actor. This was the first film where he carries a gun, and fight the bad guys. Usually his films are romantic comedies with the exception of Pearl Harbor, and I beleive Black Hawk
I would love to see Josh do a really mean role; a psychotic killer, a super hero, or a kick ass detective. It is very easy for an… Continue

In the late '90s, a girl broke my heart and I decided the best thing to do to get over her was to steer clear of women for the period of Lent.
The plan was to keep a detailed journal and turn that into my first novel. Unfortunately, the unabridged first draft came in just shy of 13 pages. A bit shorter than any novel I had ever read.
Not having any contacts in the magazine world, I sat on it for a few years until a producer friend of… Continue

Last night I had diner with friends of mine who are declared comics-based action movies addicts. They informed me about an upcoming Sin City's sequel in which Josh's character may be involved if the sequel's script remains close to the comic book. I checked this out ... and ... my dear pals were absolutely right.
Here some highlights from the IMDb's page and message board.
