Obviously it may not help much ICWTR getting a theatrical release in the US, but it is better than doing nothing...

Btw, the 'Queen of the South' project may not be totally dead for Josh. IMDb has updated the satus of the project and change the filming location of Mexico to Costa Rica. Furthermore, an IMDb user has reported that the project is still alive and that the production is trying to convince director Jonathan Jakubowicz (who had received death threats from mexican drug cartels) to come back. Here the comment : "Eva is still attached to the role! IMDB is a very unreliable source when it comes to movies in the early stages of production. Production was entirely shut down and nearly shelved after the conflict in Mexico, and they are still trying to either convince Jonathan to come back on board or to find a new director, but this project is not over.(by ohcinderella, Thu Jun 18 2009 20:44:55)"

Btw, the people who rewrote the Queen of the South's script have written Broke Back Montains. I remember reading somewhere that Ledger's part was offered first to Josh. But he could not make it because of his involment in the Black Dahlia . So let's hope the part of Santiago will still be for him ...

I like your theory on the release dates, it makes since. But, I don't want to wait many more months!...(Like I have any choice!)
I'm going through new Josh movie withdrawals! It's been a year since August was released.

As for more release dates, I want to think more are coming at least for Europe and Asia but for me the movie won't be screened before october/november. Summer is not a good release time for such a noir film and Tran Anh Hung is filming his next movie in Japan currently. The shooting sould be over at the end of August (according to Screen Daily) which means he won't be available to promote (and 'explain' to the press) his movie before mid-september. Well, that's my personal guess ...
