SINGULARITY: FILMING BEGINS IN OCTOBER 2010

According to Pamela McClintock from Variety in an article entitled 'John McTiernan to direct Shrapnel' dated September 9, 2010, "[Belgian production, sales and financing entity] Corsan is in pre-production on Roland Joffé's SINGULARITY. Joffé begins lensing the $27 million pic in six weeks."

SINGULARITY is an epic, sweeping and riveting tale of an impossible love set across two time periods and continents. Plot involves a British officer in colonial India; the Indian woman he falls in love with; an American marine archaeologist; and his wife a researcher who is trapped in a wrecked British merchant ship.

The film stars Josh Hartnett as British captain James Stewart, Indian cinema icon Indian star Aishwarya Rai as She-warrior Tulaja and possibly Chris Pine.

I love her, and am glad she's getting more film work since "Children of Men." She just finished shooting Stig Svendsen's "Elevator" in LA. I hope to see more of her on the big screen.
