STUCK BETWEEN STATIONS: BRADY KIERNAN, AMERICAN NEW WAVE

Unlike many folks featured in this American New Wave series, Brady Kiernan's zip code isn't related to any of NYC's five boroughs. His feature film debut Stuck Between Stations was born out of a "what can we work on next" type of chit-chat at SXSW, and brought to life in the untypical indie movie production city located in the Mid-West state of Minnesota. Thanks to co-writer/actor Sam Rosen, what secured the film's fate was the good fortune of nabbing a pair of players who appeared in Daryl Wein's Breaking Upwards: lassoing a strong supporter of indie filmmakers in Josh Hartnett and one of the new official “indie queen” actresses in Zoe Lister Jones (Habib Azar's Armless and the upcoming release of All Good Things). Part of the IFP's 6th Annual Independent Filmmaker Labs, If I had a crystal ball, I think I might see Kiernan dressed in a parka in the snow-filled backdrop in January and/or March tee shirt weather in downtown Austin.

You name it and Kiernan has done it. From helming music videos to working as assistant camera, loader, grip and camera operator, but it's his participation as a line producer in the SXSW 2009 entry Four Boxes that put the filmmaker and musician in the driver's seat for a shot in Minneapolis, vibe of Minneapolis, falling in love in Minneapolis and as mentioned in Paste Magazine, “an accidental tour of the little-known underbelly of Minneapolis” type of feature. In 2011, we can expect to hear plenty about this indie feature.

You are interested in Sam Rosen? I wonder why? Lol !
As you are aware I am a fan of Josh Hartnett but I am not blind of Josh Hartnett. When he f**** up, he is on his own.

Well it sounds like Josh is only in the film because his print name will help sell the film. My bet is that he has very little screen time. Who knows Sam Rosen? Therefore I am not much interested.
